On 27th of May, 13 cadets from 231 Norwich squadron attended the Costessey fate. Throughout the day cadets manned a recruitment stall and shared their experiences with members of the public. We also carried out several drill and band performances while we were there. Cadets got the chance to go around the show and have a look at all the various stalls along with the replica Spitfire and Hurricane. At 1630, all the cadets formed up for a final sunset parade. With the Squadron band leading the cadets and the standard bearers from the Royal British Legion and other veterans setting off around the show and then onto the parade square, where dignitaries were waiting for the union flag to be lowered at 1700. Taking the salute on the parade was the chief of defence staff from 2006-2009, General Lord Richard Dannatt. It was a fantastic parade and a great day for all the cadets.
